Get to know our most popular group exercise classes at the Y!

We want our members to feel comfortable in our amazing group exercise classes. Try one of our introductory demo classes and learn more about the moves, techniques, and flow of classes so you can feel more confident when you come back for the full-length class!

Classes are free and open to members. Registration is not required.

Where:

All group exercise classes are held at the Spring Valley YMCA.

 

Intro to Les Mills BODYPUMP™

BODYPUMP™ is THE ORIGINAL BARBELL CLASS™, that uses light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, to give you a total body workout. This beginner class will discuss setting up equipment, selecting weights, provide an overview of class format, and review common exercises and proper form to help you feel comfortable attending future BODYPUMP classes.

When:

Join us on the first Monday of every month at 8:30 AM.

 

Intro to Cycling

Cycling is a great option for all class go-ers! This indoor cycling class was created to challenge both the beginner fitness enthusiast and the seasoned athlete. Each ride on the bike helps to increase your cardiovascular endurance, reduce body fat and increase muscular strength. As part of the team you travel on flat roads, climb hills, sprint and race! You get a great workout – no matter what the weather is outside!
