The 2024-2025 season is finally here! After an incredible 2024 season where the Willow Grove YMCA Twisters made history by winning their first gymnastics National Team title, the excitement is high for what’s to come this year. With the long road ahead to defend their title at the 2025 YMCA National Championships in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the team remains focused on one meet at a time.
The energy and commitment shown by the Twisters at the Turkey Tumble hosted at the Quakertown Branch of the River Crossing YMCA proved that they are more than ready for the challenges ahead. Every gymnast came out with a great mindset, and we saw some incredible performances across all levels.
Led by an outstanding group of seniors — Kiera Bruton, Allison Lessig, Julianne Rudgunas, Chava Trachtman, Alexandrea Krawczyk, and Rebecca Cohen — the team is in good hands. These seniors continue to show what it means to be leaders both in and out of the gym. Their guidance and support will be critical as the Twisters aim to make this season even more successful.
The Turkey Tumble was a fantastic opportunity for the Twisters to set the stage for what’s to come. With a focus on growth and improvement, the gymnasts took home invaluable experience, worked hard as a team, and came away even more determined to reach their full potential in the months ahead.
