Interested in joining the Willow Grove YMCA Hurricanes Swim team? We're excited to begin our summer season and we invite you to tryout to join the team! Our swim teams are dedicated to developing good swimmers and great team members. Through competitive swimming, the YMCA teaches the character values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Competitive swimming teaches skills for a lifetime.
New swimmers wishing to join must be evaluated by a coach and meet the pre-requisites prior to registering for our summer team. Registration is required.
Pre-requisites for swimmers 8 & under: must be able to swim a lap of freestyle with rotary breathing, a lap of backstroke, and perform a basic dive.
Pre-requisites for swimmers 9 & over: must be able to swim 2 laps freestyle with rotary breathing, 2 laps backstroke, flip turn, and perform a basic dive.

Where:
Tryouts are held in the indoor pool at the Willow Grove YMCA.
When:
Join us on April 22, 23, and 25, 2025. Attendance on all three days is strongly encouraged.
- Ages 6-10 tryouts are held from 5:00 - 5:45 PM.
- Ages 11-18 tryouts are held from 6:00 - 7:00 PM.
