The YMCA’s Out of School Time (OST) Program allows teens to explore their interests in various fields with guidance and support. The program aims to connect our students to careers and interests beyond high school and better prepare them for an ever-changing future they will help mold and create.
Program Details
Currently, the program lives at six Philadelphia area high schools:
- George Washington
- Strawberry Mansion
- Frankford, Murrell Dobbins
- Roxborough High Schools
- Kensington Health Sciences Academy
The program is open weekdays (Monday through Friday) from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM. It offers opportunities to study and develop life skills, career readiness activities, and exercises to prepare for college. To maintain eligibility, participants must attend the program a minimum of two (2) times a week. This structure allows teens to participate in other after-school programs, further contributing to a well-rounded and fulfilling experience.
How to get involved!
Interested participants can register on-site at their respective schools through their Site Directors. Registrations are on-going and require parent/guardian consent.
OST is a free program.
