About the Program
The Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program allows nonprofit organizations to create Special Purpose Entities (SPEs), which are companies (LLCs) created with the sole purpose of supporting YMCA’s social responsibility programming. When joining YMCA LLCs, donors can support YMCA’s work with low-income families in underserved areas and receive tax credits of up to 90% of their donation, which can be applied against their Pennsylvania personal income tax or business tax liability.
Eligible individuals and companies who wish to participate may become members of our Pre-K Scholarship Fund with a 2-year commitment, giving a unique way to support the community. Tax credits will be distributed to each member via a Pennsylvania Schedule K-1 and will be available for application against your eligible Pennsylvania tax liability for the year in which donation is made.
LLC membership requires a minimum contribution of $5,000 per year, with a 2-year commitment.
