Through the Camden Y, we offer volleyball programs for middle school boys and girls. We focus on developing the fundamental skills of the game to help prepare middle school students for their high school programs while emphasizing the value of participating on a team, creating an environment for new friendships, physical activity, and instilling new passions into a younger generation of athletes.
Program Details
Volleyball programming is available at participating schools in an after school setting for students in grades 6 - 8. The girls' seasons occurs in fall and boys' is held in spring. During our volleyball program sessions participants can expect:
- Warm-ups
- New skill instruction
- Drills
- Scrimmages
- Cool down and closing
Each season culminates with a competitive tournament where the different programs will get the chance to compete against each other in a game setting.
How to get involved!
Participants can find registration forms with their after school program administration or school administration to get signed up. There are 16 available slots per season per location.
This is a free program for all participants. We welcome volunteers to help with our end of season tournaments for any community members looking for ways to support the program.
