The YMCA offers a wide variety of classes that meet the needs of the general public, workplaces, schools and organizations.

Select from a range of courses, including Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, AED and Safe Sitter® training.

Red Cross Lifeguard Certification & Re-Certification

This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to be a lifeguard. CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, and First Aid are included in this comprehensive training. Participants must complete prerequisite skills on their first day consisting of: 300 yards Freestyle and Breaststroke as well as diving brick retrieval. This is a 30-hour course.

Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Certification & Re-Certification

Participants learn the knowledge and skills necessary to help sustain life and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until advanced medical help arrives.

SafeSitter® Training Program

Safe Sitter® is a medically accurate, competency-based, highly structured babysitting preparation course designed for young adolescents (11 and up). The curriculum is written by a pediatrician and presented in sections.
