Aquatics

YMCA Aquatics offers swim lessons for all ages!  The YMCA swim lesson program is centered around five main components:  personal safety, personal growth, stroke development, water sports and game and rescue.  The emphasis is on progressive learning, using a student-centered and developmentally appropriate approach to teaching.  Our goal is to help children build confidence and skills through positive reinforcement, promoting life-long health and fitness.

Child Care

The Columbia North YMCA Child Readiness Center is a liscense, full-day, year round education and care facility, serving children ages 1-5 years.  The Center has earned a 3 STAR rating through the Keystone STARS program, and is a PA Pre-K Counts site.

Wellness

Y Wellness programs are developmentally appropriate and help people at any stage of life build positive health habits.  Participation in programs at the Y offer youth and adults opportunities for friendship and community, a sense of well-being, increased self-confidence and improved mental abilities.

YMCA programs and services cut across diverse populations with diverse needs and attempt to take into account the total-health of each person.  The YMCA provides a variety of health and wellness programs including exercise and water fitness classes for people and families of all ages, health and wellness seminars, educational classes, personalized training programs, non-competitive youth and adult sports leagues and social opportunities for seniors and families.
