Child Development Center (CDC)

The Christian Street YMCA CDC is licensed by the State of Pennsylvania and currently rated STAR 2 by Keystone STARS and participating in the Success by 6 initiative through the United Way.  Utilizing the Creative Curriculum and learning through play, the teachers provide experiences focused on developmentally appropriate practices in education and character development. The daily program includes learning centers incorporating reading, writing, math, computers, and science.  In addition to outdoor play, large and small group activities, story and music time, cooking, art, swim lessons, gym, and field trips.

All parents have the unique opportunity to participate in their child’s classroom as the “helping parent” on a regular basis.
